KQO Fall 2021 Meeting

Dear Quilting Friends,
Finally! Current plans are to resume having regular KQO meetings beginning with this Fall in Salina. The executive board is hopeful that all are now vaccinated against Covid so that it is safe to get together once again. Because we are on a short timeline to get information to the membership it was decided to get a few vital details out prior to the newsletter arriving in mailboxes.

Saturday plans include show and tells for class projects, Covid Stash Buster Challenge, and for membership in general. There will be door prizes provided by attendees and a general business meeting.
Meals: Lunch will be provided on Friday and Saturday. As a part of our contract no outside food is allowed in the classrooms or meeting rooms on penalty of increased meeting room prices.

Membership Directory: The board made the decision to extend the expiration of current members membership by two years due to decreased expenses because of the inability to meet since the Fall of 2019 due to Covid.

The board hopes you are as excited as we are to move into a more normal phase of living. A newsletter will be coming soon with registration forms and detailed descriptions and supply lists for classes. Also included will be the pattern of the Friendship Star block that is for the Quilts of Valor that KQO has been supporting.
Happy Stitching!

Debbie Coddington, Treasurer
