This moon quilt was made by Linda Sobba after completing the class given by Karla Alexander at the Emporia KQO 2018 meeting. I have named it “Moons Across Kansas and Beyond”. I named it this because I acquired fabrics from several quilt shops all across Kansas and some from California. The machine quilting was completed by Lois Dean of Great Bend Kansas.

KQO was established in October of 1984 to further the art of quilting within the state and to bring quilters together to share their knowledge. Our membership includes hundreds of quilters from around the state of Kansas and a number of members from other surrounding states. We meet twice a year for two days, attending workshops, lectures, trunk shows, and other assorted activities. Every other year we offer a fellowship as well. Our instructors and lecturers can include local talent from surrounding areas, guests brought in from around the Midwest based on recommendations and requests and of course our own immensely talented KQO members.
