Our meeting will be in Hesston, Kansas at Cross Wind Conference Center, now called Camp David Kansas. Check out the website to see more about the facility. https://campdavidinternational.org/retreats/ You will have the option to stay at the facility or book an offsite location.

The dates of the actual event are September 27 and 28th. Registration begins on Thursday, September 26th for those that arrive on Thursday.

We will be offering three workshops and also a UFO area. The featured workshop/lecture leader is Toni Steere. She is well know in the world of quilting. Toni has been designing for Timeless Treasures for some time. Her workshop will offer a precut kit with some beautiful color choices. Toni also will be presenting two lectures on Saturday. Our second workshop leader is Kay Walker. She will be doing a class on Barn Quilts. Participants will have a large variety of choices to choose from. The third workshop will be lead by a KQO member and ladies it is a MYSTERY QUILT. You will be getting practice with a Stripology Ruler as well as creating a surprise project for the holidays.

That’s right! KQO is celebrating its Ruby Anniversary. We will celebrate on Friday night after you have a chance to shop and get some dinner.

LOCAL SHOPS

Stay tuned. There are three local quilt shops in the Hesston Area. We are working with these shops to give you some incentives to shop either on Thursday or Friday of KQO September meeting.

KQO was established in October of 1984 to further the art of quilting within the state and to bring quilters together to share their knowledge. Our membership includes hundreds of quilters from around the state of Kansas and a number of members from other surrounding states. We meet twice a year for two days, attending workshops, lectures, trunk shows, and other assorted activities. Every other year we offer a fellowship as well. Our instructors and lecturers can include local talent from surrounding areas, guests brought in from around the Midwest based on recommendations and requests and of course our own immensely talented KQO members.
