It’s time to get your plans together to attend the 2023
Spring KQO Meeting in Manhattan!

Our Spring meeting June 2nd & 3rd will be at the Manhattan, KS Holiday Inn at the campus.

The main speaker is Charlotte Angotti . Charlotte has been a presenter for us before. We enjoyed her so much, we felt we should have her come again. This class is the most popular class Charlotte offers. In this fun-filled class, a kit of precut fabrics is furnished to purchase at the meeting. This is a wonderful group workshop for those that just want to sew and not have any cutting or thinking to do. It fills quickly and is a SURPRISE in more ways than one. It is a mystery type class. No one gets any hints and yet those who take the class will want to take another.

Our second workshop will be presented by Bonnie Deiter. Bonnie comes to us from Garnett Kansas. She spent her career in the Education Field. Bonnie has applied her teaching talents to her love of quilting. She gives lectures and workshops throughout Kansas and neighboring states. She is presenting a class using stripes called the “Wowzer Quilt”. It looks like a very interesting project!

There will also be the ever popular UFO room.

KQO was established in October of 1984 to further the art of quilting within the state and to bring quilters together to share their knowledge. Our membership includes hundreds of quilters from around the state of Kansas and a number of members from other surrounding states. We meet twice a year for two days, attending workshops, lectures, trunk shows, and other assorted activities. Every other year we offer a fellowship as well. Our instructors and lecturers can include local talent from surrounding areas, guests brought in from around the Midwest based on recommendations and requests and of course our own immensely talented KQO members.
