“I’m Seeing Stars” – April 9, 2019 by Toby Lischko

Toby Lischko

May, 2007 I retired from education so I could pursue my true love of quilting. Since then I have taught at many national quilt shows, written two books, St. Louis Stars and Kaleidostars, and continue to teach across the country to local quilt guilds. I also currently do or have done commissioned work for P&B, Timeless Treasures, RJR Fabrics, Benartex, Clothworks, Hoffman, McCalls Quilting, House of White Birches (Quilter’s World), American Patchwork & Quilting and Fons and Porter.  I break everything down to basic steps that even a beginner can do. I want people to leave my class saying “Wow, I did not know I could do that!” My philosophy is “Quilting should be fun, not hard”.

WORKSHOP!! WORKSHOP!! WORKSHOP!! WORKSHOP!!

Unfoundation

“Unfoundation” Piecing 101 will be held April 10th starting at 9AM. No more tearing off the foundation! We will learn how to see “off” the foundation and make a large NY Beauty block. It is a technique class and something you can use on other foundation patterns. The class also includes her special pinning technique for perfect curves every time. Confident beginner to advanced quilter will enjoy this class.

Please contact Sandi Cox 785 224 8579 or email garysandi at earthlink dot net for more details or to signup. Space is limited so please contact her soon.

  1. I remember – I was on that first board and I did our First meeting here in Hutchinson on a budget of $1.00. Now that I am retired – hope to attend a couple meetings again. Nancy Maes-Simonetti
